Warning Thieves About

Several cars where damaged and items taken over the weekend at sports grounds across the city.

These thieves seem to be targeting matches where cars are parked away from the pitch and no one has a clear view of the cars.

30 or 40 cars in remote locations is very attractive to these robbers.

Please do not leave valuable items in your car or dressing rooms while playing or watching matches.

Every team should have someone who looks after the players valuables, I.E. Money, watch, phones etc.

The old way is still the best, put your own valuables in your own sock and give it to the person from your team in charge of the swag bag.

Could the home team please look after the referee’s in the same way.

Can we suggest that 1 Supporter/Committee person from each team be asked to go out together to the cars at regular intervals to keep an eye out.

Watch for people sitting in cars as they might be the thieves.
